Chris Humphreys FCA
Partner
Chris joined Philip Barnes & Co in 1987 and became a partner in 1990. He specialises in tax planning and auditing, and leads on compliance, systems and IT across the firm.
Faith Bates FCA, FCCA
Partner
Faith started at the firm as an 18-year-old trainee and has spent her career working with Tamworth businesses of all sizes. She specialises in audits, tax planning and acts as an invisible board member to many of her clients.
John Clark FCA, FCCA
Partner
John joined at 16, qualified in 1998 and became a full partner in 2004. Mentored by founder Philip Barnes, he specialises in tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and businesses — and is a trusted sounding board for clients including sports professionals.
Dean Ackrill FCCA

Dean brings 13 years of SME accounting experience and a background as financial director of a telecoms firm. He specialises in R&D tax credit claims and supports new and growing businesses.
