Accessibility statement

WCAG 2.2 · Equality Act 2010

Philip Barnes & Co Chartered Accountants is committed to making its website accessible to as wide an audience as possible, including people who use assistive technology, who navigate by keyboard alone, who rely on captions, or who simply find a clean reading experience easier to use. This page sets out our approach and the alternative routes we offer if any part of the site doesn't work for you.

Standards we aim for

The site is built to broadly meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA: meaningful colour contrast, clear focus indicators, descriptive link text, and keyboard reachability throughout. The single typeface (Lora) has been chosen for readability at body sizes from 14px upward. We avoid auto-playing media and animations that might be distracting or trigger vestibular disorders.

Known limitations

The Google Maps embed on our contact page is provided by Google and inherits Google's own accessibility profile, which is good but not under our direct control. If the map isn't usable for you, the full office address appears immediately above it in plain text — you can paste that into your preferred mapping tool, or call us on the number listed and we'll guide you in.

PDF factsheets, where present, are generated for clarity rather than full accessibility tagging. If you'd like the content of any factsheet in a different format — plain text, large print, or a screen-reader-friendly HTML version — please ask and we'll arrange it.

Alternative routes

Anything you can do on this website you can do without it. Call the office number on the contact page to book a consultation, ask a question, or request that we send a quote in writing. Email reaches the same team. We do not require any prospect or client to use the website to engage with the firm.

Reporting an accessibility problem

If you encounter something on this site that doesn't work for you — a missing alt text, a low-contrast section, a form field that doesn't speak its label to your screen reader — please let us know via the contact form or by phone. We treat accessibility reports as priority items and aim to address them within ten working days.
